Shivani Verma is an academician and researcher associated with the Department of Fashion Business at Pearl Academy, bringing together industry exposure and academic expertise to create a dynamic and practice-oriented learning environment. With experience spanning corporate training, talent development, and higher education, she focuses on bridging theoretical concepts with real-world business practices, enabling students to develop analytical thinking and industry-relevant skills.
Shivani holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) from the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad, with a specialization in Human Resource Management and Marketing. She further pursued a Master’s degree in Organizational Behaviour from Amity University, Noida, strengthening her academic grounding in people management and organizational dynamics. She completed her undergraduate studies from the University of Delhi. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD in the field of Employee Well-Being in the Service Sector, focusing on emerging workplace challenges and the evolving dynamics of employee experience in contemporary organizations.
Her academic and research interests lie in the areas of Employee Well-Being, Knowledge Management, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, and Workplace Dynamics. Her doctoral research examines critical constructs such as technostress, work–life balance, perceived organizational support, and total reward systems, and how these factors influence employee well-being and job performance within service-driven sectors.
Shivani actively contributes to academic research and has authored several scholarly publications. Her research works include “Knowledge Management Enablers and Process Capabilities as Predictors of Organizational Performance: A Study of an Indian Public Sector (A Power Generation Company),” “Exploring the Correlates of Knowledge Management,” published in the International Journal of Indian Psychology, and “Technological Support and Employee Well-Being: The Mediating Role of Productivity and Work-Life Balance in Academia.” Through her research, she aims to generate insights that contribute to both academic scholarship and organizational practice.
In the classroom, Shivani emphasizes experiential learning, case-based discussions, and industry-oriented projects, encouraging students to think critically, adapt to evolving business environments, and develop practical problem-solving abilities. She believes education should empower students to become thoughtful, responsible, and future-ready professionals.
