Our Associate Professor of Fashion Design, Sandhya Srinivasan, has almost two decades of experience in the fashion industry.
Having completed her education at the prestigious NIFT Delhi, she went on to have an illustrious career with some of the big names in global fashion. These include Sandy Starkman and Tarun Tahiliani, to name a few.
Further, her unique approach to fashion earned her the Best Womenswear Award in 2004. If that’s not all, she was also runners up at the Lakme Fashion House event, which was judged by a star-studded jury that included the great Italian designer Donatella Versace, Abu Jani, and Sandeep Khosla.
Subsequent to this, Sandhya went on to broaden her horizons by teaching fashion in several Southeast Asian countries, such as China, Vietnam, and Cambodia.
She has been involved in many art residencies and has opened her own homestay and art residency in the Himalayas. Apart from this, Sandhya has also undertaken several design and research projects in pattern generation, curriculum development, mural paintings, lingerie and craft development.
