Dr. Meha Jayaswal, Associate Dean of Fashion Communication and Fashion Styling departments at Pearl Academy, has a distinguished career spanning over 30 years in the fashion and media industry. A NET-qualified scholar with a PhD in Mass Communication, she has advanced training in Fashion Journalism from the London College of Fashion, UK, and holds a Post-Graduate Certification in Higher Education from Nottingham Trent University, UK. Her extensive expertise encompasses curriculum research, planning, and pedagogy.

Dr. Jayaswal's professional journey began with prominent roles, including contributing to India's leading stock market magazine, Dalal Street Investment Journal, during the 1990s. She later served as Trade Communications Executive for the International Wool Secretariat, managing communications across India and Southeast Asia. Her experience further expanded at the Confederation of Indian Industry at its headquarters in New Delhi before she joined Pearl Academy in 2001.

She teaches and mentors students in fashion critique, media management, advertising and promotions, and fashion PR. She also guides final-year undergraduate and postgraduate research projects across Pearl Academy’s campuses in Delhi, Bangalore, and Mumbai.

As a mentor and academic leader, Dr. Jayaswal supports students and faculty across fashion communication, journalism and entertainment, and photography programs, contributing to the development of future professionals in the creative industries.
