Pearl Academy requires candidates to clear the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) and the General Proficiency Test (GPT). The DAT evaluates a candidate's aptitude for creativity, drawing, designability, observation and imagination, environmental awareness, and communication skills.
The GPT evaluates proficiency in English, logical reasoning, quantitative ability, and data interpretation. Both tests are followed by a personal interview, during which undergraduate applicants are also required to present a creative portfolio demonstrating their drawing and design abilities.
