Sona Bose Bhattacharya brings over 31 years of rich experience of the fashion and design industry to her role as Associate Professor at Pearl Academy. Her creative journey began with a Fashion Design certification, a 2-year Diploma from International Polytechnic and an advanced Diploma from the prestigious NIFT Delhi.
Sona's passion blazed while collaborating with famous designer Gitanjali Kashyap in New Delhi. It soared higher when she partnered with American superstar Sandy Starkman. Sona even extended her artsy flair to movies through projects with Director Pradeep Sircar.
As her career stitches intertwined, Sona's expertise blossomed as a dedicated faculty member. She taught at NIFT Delhi and Bangalore, leading the FDIT program and guiding young minds in design fundamentals and fascinating Costume History.
In 2018, Sona's entrepreneurial spirit took flight with Dragonfly Design Studio, scoring her the Kalanidhi "Woman of Substance" Award. She's also the creative genius behind Tattva, her textile-focused interior design and styling label.
Sona continues to infuse her vibrant energy and knowledge into the world of fashion and design.
