Pallavi Singh shares her passion for design as a Senior Lecturer at Pearl Academy. She holds a Bachelor of Design from the prestigious NIFT and a Master's in Soft Material Specialisation from the Indian Institute of Crafts and Design in Jaipur. Her pursuit of enhancing craft skills and exploring new horizons drove her to delve into the intricacies of working with diverse materials, expanding her creative abilities.
Pallavi's industry experience flourished with her work at Zakoopi Info Tech - Rustorange, an e-commerce start-up brand focused on Indian women's wear. Her passion for sharing knowledge led her to transition to academia, teaching technical subjects of Fashion Design, such as Pattern Making and Garment Construction, at the School of Fashion and Technology, LPU, Punjab.
Beyond teaching, Pallavi’s enthusiasm for crafts drives community engagement. As a Designer/Researcher, she contributed to reviving the UNESCO-recognized Kalbelia quilt craft during COVID-19. Collaborating with the Kota Heritage Society and BHASHA Research and Publication Centre, she provided sustainable livelihoods for the tribe. This work has been published in Selvedge Magazine and Quilt Mania.
