With a devoted passion for animation and visual media, Umme Maria brings nearly a decade of industry experience to her role as a Senior Faculty at Pearl Academy. She holds a Master’s degree from A J K Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia, specialising in Animation and VFX.
Umme Maria is an avid animation enthusiast who has lent her talent as a 2D animator to various notable projects, including Ninja Turtles, Home, Cyanide and Happiness, and more. She has also excelled as an Assistant Professor at Symbiosis International University and Amity University while serving as a guest faculty member at GGSIPU. Furthermore, she has contributed to the design of graduate and undergraduate programs at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Over the years, Umme Maria has shared her passions through various courses on animation, filmmaking, critical thinking and more. She maintains a keen interest in experimental techniques and how the medium can take different shapes.
Umme is thrilled to pass on this enthusiasm to new generations of filmmakers and animators at Pearl Academy.
