Pearl Academy of Fashion’s (PAF) final year students of B.A. Hons (Fashion Design) will present their graduating collection through a fashion show – Portfolio ’08 in June 2008 at Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi.
Over the last fourteen years, Portfolio has emerged as an event with high glamour quotient with the creme of the fashion and textile industry coming together to welcome a new breed of talented young designers and top models sashaying eclectic collections on the ramp. It is widely recognized and promoted by national media. Last year the show was telecast several times by FTV, besides footage telecast by channels, and exhaustive coverage in lifestyle magazines / supplements.
Portfolio marks the entry of the PAF design students into the professional world. This final presentation is an integration of the learning that the students have had during their four-year of education at the academy.
Portfolio ’08 will be attended by more than 1500 guests including international delegates, important people from the textile, apparel and retail trade, media and senior government officials.

Pearl Academy of Fashion will present Open Works ‘07 – a two day exhibition displaying the best creative works by graduating students of B.A. Hons Textile Design and Communication Design courses in May 2008.
Imagery and inspiration plucked from all over the globe jostle for attention in the work of the students on the Textile Design & Communication Design degree route. The course encourages this individualism and energy, polishing and adding professional know-how to the final product.

Students of Pearl Academy of Fashion will conceptualise and create a centralised fabric index ‘Fabric Folio’ - at Tex-Styles India 2008 to be at Pragati Maidan from March 2nd to 5th, 2008. The Fabric Folio will highlight latest innovations in fabric finishes available this season pan India. It will present a general assessment in the area of fashion fabric, wovens, knits, trims, and accessories among others.
A centralised venue for display of development oriented fabrics, Fabric Folio every year witnesses most innovative finishes from top Indian companies such as Invista, Resil Chemicals, Clariant, Benetton India among others. The display also includes traditional textiles from handlooms, power looms and developmental collections of manufacturers and craftsmen from India’s important textile centres such as Salem, Tirupur, Jaipur, Panipat, Benaras, Indore and towns in North East.

Pearl Academy of Fashion will host its students festival – Pearl Utsav ‘08 - in Delhi in October 2008. A series of inter-collegiate competitions will be organized as part of the festival.
Chief Guest for Pearl Utsav '07 was Padam Shree danseuse Smt. Geeta Chandran along with renowned DJ Karan as the Guest of Honour for the event.
Highlights of the 2007 event were T-shirt design Competition, fashion presentations, Theatre, Music and Choreography art with more than 20 Delhi University colleges participating in various competitions.
