
Papers are invited that address the theme outlined below:
The conference endeavors to achieve aim of capturing research and evolving best practices in the realm of sustainability of fashion
value chain. The theme enables a diversity of research foci and case studies related to sustainability and its connection to fashion;
from fashion materials to the policy and environment perspective; design and sustainability; Consumption, disposal, health and ethical
issues. The International Conference will be structured as a platform for a series of themes that reflect current research directions and
best practices. Abstracts for papers are invited for the following broad themes:
- Design interventions and Sustainability
- Fashion Materials and Sustainability
- Sustainable production processes, technologies and ethical issues
- Sustainable consumption and retail
- Policy and Environment
REVIEW PROCESS: Submission of abstracts of not more than 350 words is invited. Abstracts will be reviewed and selected by a committee; Authors of accepted abstracts will be required to submit full papers (3000 - 5000 words) for the Conference.
CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS: Authors of recommended papers will be required to present their paper in a 25 minute presentation at the Conference on 28-29 November 2008. All selected papers will be published as Conference Proceedings which will be distributed at the Conference. Paper presenters will be required to pay delegate fee of Rs. 2000 - or US$100 (for overseas delegates)
