Pearl Academy of Fashion gives a welcome SHOWER to the batch of 2007

~ Freshers showcase their creativity in ‘Garaj Baras’ fashion show~
~ Mr. Sanjay Sharma, Country Head, Swarovski India was the Chief Guest ~

New Delhi, July 27th, 2007: Pearl Academy of Fashion (PAF), India’s leading fashion institute organised its Orientation ceremony for their 2007 batch.  Mr. Sanjay Sharma, Country Head, Swarovski India graced the occasion as the Chief Guest & Chief Jury. Ms Bharti Taneja, Director, Alps Cosmetics was also present on the occasion as one of the jury members.

The Orientation began with the cultural prayer sung by the students, which was followed by an interesting ramp presentation on the ‘Monsoon’ theme called ‘Garaj Baras’. It was a fun filled event to encourage student’s creativity and soak their senses! Students were given the task to stylize/ accessorise and showcase their innovative designs using a kit containing bamboo sticks, water pipe, a small paper umbrella, coloured plastic sheets/bags, staples etc as a material.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sanjay Sharma, Country Manager, Swarovski said, “The institute has produced very good designers for the fashion industry who are ready to take the fashion world by storm. I saw huge potential and creativity in these freshers and it gives me great pleasure to be a part of this Orientation ceremony.”

Appreciating the presentation put up by both design and non-design students, Ms Bharti Taneja, Director, Alps Cosmetics said, “I am impressed with the wonderfully done faces, hair and the artistic usage of props by the new batch.” She congratulated the team for putting up the spectacular show.

Further adding Mr. AKG Nair, Group Director- Pearl Academy of Fashion said “The USP of the institute is the ability to evolve continuously. The institute is instrumental in bringing the best in our students thereby creating a benchmark for fashion education in the country.
