Pearl Academy of Fashion presents foundation recap
~ 6-day exhibition by foundation students commences on May 30, 2007 ~
New Delhi, May 30th, 20007: Pearl Academy of Fashion, India’s premier institute for fashion education presented recap – platform for display of material exploration & design projects of Foundation Design students. The 6-day design exhibition commenced on Wednesday, May 30th, 2007 at the India Habitat Centre.
Giving a glimpse into the creative minds of the students, the exhibition will recap all the innumerable challenges faced and opportunities offered to them. It will highlight the creative process and out of the box thinking of PAF students and exhibited translation of these innovative thoughts into products that enhance everybody’s lifestyle. Students of Foundation Design exhibited their semester works which was a mix of material exploration and craft documentations.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. A K G Nair, Group Director said, “It is an endeavour to share with industry and associates, the students’ experience after the first 12 months of their learning. This exhibition reflects the achievements of PAF design students in their respective fields and gives us an understanding of their strengths and weaknesses.”
The design programmes at Pearl Academy of Fashion cover foundation areas that strive to inculcate in the students the ability to visualize and represent ideas and concepts, understanding and application of design fundamentals, understanding of material and material manipulation, understanding of cultural manifestation and contexts, and their relevance to design, effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills. |
