Pearl Academy of Fashion presents Synthesis ‘06
Presentation of Award Winning Research Projects by the Business & Technology Departmen
New Delhi, December 12, 2006: Pearl Academy of Fashion (PAF), India’s premier fashion institute today organised Synthesis ’06 – an annual presentation of award-winning research conducted by its Business and Technology Department. The presentations on ‘Feasibility Of Industrial Engineering In A Export House’ ; ‘Shift From Commodity Exporters To Full Package Service Providers: A Solution To Global Competition’ and ‘Identifying The New Kid On The Indian Block: Influences And Behaviour’ represented the best of the research conducted by the graduating students of the four- year B.A. Hons degree programme in Fashion Merchandising and Product Management.
Senior representatives of export houses and buyers from organisations like Orient Craft Ltd., Richa & Co., Pearl Global Ltd., Shahi Exports, J&J Buying and many others, present at the event, expressed their appreciation of the applications-based learning at the Academy. All the prize-winning presentations amply demonstrated the students’ capacity to relate theory to the prevailing economic and industrial realities as well as their aptitude to work as professionals at managerial levels in the areas of business and technology applications in the fashion industry.
Congratulating the award-winning students, Mr. Pulkit Seth, Managing Director – House of Pearl Fashions Limited, said “It is indeed interesting to witness students’ innovative concepts and its implementation to real situations.”

Pearl Academy’s Fashion Merchandising and Product Management (FMPM) programme covers broad-based technical and commercial knowledge development in the introductory first half of the programme; and relevant research and application-based learning at the Honours Degree level. |
